There is so much you can do, but yes, it can get a little bit long for the CMD line. With ffmpeg you can setup up overlays, running timecode, combing multiple video files into one (including configuring picture in picture, etc). You can remove audio completely using -a:n option. You can use a path/drive letter/etc there like D:\output.mov if you want to save it to drive D (if you are windows). c:a is the audio encoder to use, and output.mov (the final bit) is the file to save it all to. b:v is telling it the bitrate, 110 to 120 is DNxHD 36. The -vf can be removed if you dont want to adjust the size, fps, and color space. Not sure your input file type, but the -c:v dnxhd is telling it the codec to encode to. Ffmpeg has a ton of online help and tutorials.įfmpeg -i input -c:v dnxhd -vf "scale=1280:720,fps=30000/1001,format=yuv422p" -b:v 110M -c:a pcm_s16le output.mov
